About Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP)
Founded in 1983, Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP) is a registered not-for-profit organization working for the empowerment of marginalized communities. Under the Gram Sewa Project, BJUP operates the Shalihotra Express, a mobile veterinary health unit providing treatment, vaccination, and livestock management services in the villages of Araria District.
Position Overview: AI Technician
We are seeking a trained Artificial Insemination (AI) Technician to support livestock farmers in improving animal breeding practices. The AI Technician will conduct artificial insemination of cattle, maintain breeding records, and promote awareness on improved animal husbandry practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform artificial insemination of cattle and provide related veterinary support.
- Conduct pregnancy diagnosis and follow-up services.
- Maintain records of insemination, conception, and calving.
- Advise farmers on feeding, breeding, and general livestock care.
- Support the Veterinary Doctor in livestock health camps and awareness drives.
- Safely manage and maintain AI kits, equipment, and consumables.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completed AI Technician training course from a recognized institute.
- Field experience in livestock artificial insemination preferred.
- Familiarity with rural livestock systems and farmer engagement.
- Ability to travel to villages with the Shalihotra Express team.
- Preference to candidates from Araria or nearby districts.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ?15,000 per month (CTC)
