The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially started the online registration for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C posts in various government departments. This comes after a gap of three years and is expected to receive a massive response, with over 14 lakh applications anticipated.

The Common Eligibility Test (CET) is a preliminary screening exam conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group C posts in the Haryana government. After clearing the CET, shortlisted candidates can apply for specific positions as per departmental vacancies.
Group C Posts: ~14 lakh candidates
Group D Posts (Upcoming): ~17 lakh candidates
A separate notification will be issued for Group D posts after the Group C registration process concludes.
The Group C vacancies cover a broad range of roles, including:
Junior Engineers
Clerks
Excise and Taxation Inspectors
Auditors
Assistant Managers
Patwaris
Male and Female Police Constables
Note: Group D positions (like peon, gardener, helper, etc.) will be announced later.
HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh has advised all applicants to ensure their documents are in order. Special attention must be given to personal details in both:
Aadhaar Card
Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP)
If there are discrepancies in the name, father’s/mother’s name, or date of birth, it may cause issues during registration or verification.
Validity: 3 years from the date of result declaration
Improvement: If a candidate scores higher in a later attempt, the new score's validity period will start from that result date

Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on social media that the CET is a step toward transparent hiring under the "Bina Kharchi, Bina Parchi" (No Bribe, No Recommendation) policy.
