The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of Grade B Officers for the year 2025. A total of 120 vacancies are available under different streams – General, DEPR, and DSIM. Eligible candidates can apply online from 10th September 2025 to 30th September 2025.

The recruitment will be conducted in three stages – Phase I, Phase II, and Interview. Candidates will be selected based on merit across these stages.

    • DEPR (Department of Economic & Policy Research) – 17

Eligibility Criteria

General Stream:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD)

  • OR Postgraduate degree with 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD)

DEPR (Economics/Policy Research):

  • Post Graduate degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Finance with minimum 55% marks

DSIM (Statistics/Information Management):

  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD)

  • OR Four-Year BS Degree with 60% marks

Age Limit (as on 01.09.2025):

  • 21 to 30 years

  • Age relaxation as per Govt. rules

Salary & Allowances

  • Basic Pay: ?35,150 – ?62,400 (as per RBI Grade B Pay Scale)

  • Gross Salary: Approx. ?78,450/- per month + allowances

  • SC / ST / PwBD – ?100 + 18% GST

  • RBI Staff – No Fee

Selection Process

  1. Phase I (Online Exam)

    • General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability

    • For DEPR/DSIM: additional specialized papers

  2. Phase II (Online Exam)

    • Stream-specific subjects:

      • General – Economic & Social Issues, English (Writing), Finance & Management

      • DEPR/DSIM – Specialized papers

  3. Interview (Final Stage)

    • Tests personality, subject knowledge & communication skills

    • Final merit based on Phase I + Phase II + Interview
