MMMUT BTech First Cutoff 2025 Released: Computer Science Top Choice, Admissions Between Ranks 18091 to 62179

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, has officially released the first cutoff list for B.Tech admissions for the academic session 2025-26. A total of 4,039 students applied for 1,189 available seats, and the Computer Science branch emerged as the top preference among candidates.
Computer Science Dominates the Cutoff
The general category cutoff for the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch ranged from AIR 18,091 to 62,179. The branch also attracted maximum interest from students applying under the 10% other state quota, where the cutoff opened at Rank 40,229 and closed at Rank 66,331.
IT and Electronics Also in Demand
After CSE, Information Technology (IT) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) were the next most preferred branches. The cutoff for IT began just after the closing rank of Computer Science, indicating continued demand from high-rankers.

Document Verification in Progress
Document verification for students selected in the first cutoff list is ongoing and must be completed by July 2, 2025. Most students had submitted their documents online. By 7 PM on the first day (Saturday), verification for 267 students had already been completed.
Administration Remarks
University Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Saini stated that MMMUT remains a top preference for students with high JEE Main scores. He added that the admission process is running smoothly and document verification is being completed as per the schedule.
