Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), one of the finalists of IPL 2025, will conduct their practice session on Sunday afternoon at the B Ground of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, ahead of the much-anticipated Qualifier 2.
Practice Schedule:
-
Venue: B Ground, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
-
Time: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
-
Date: Sunday, June 2, 2025
The local cricket association has restricted teams from using the main pitch for practice during the evening or night hours, in preparation for the night match.
RCB's Road to the Final
RCB secured their spot in the final after defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 on May 29. Following their win, the team stayed in Chandigarh for a day before flying out to Ahmedabad on May 31. They now await the result of tonight’s clash between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings to know their opponent in the IPL 2025 Final, scheduled for June 3.
Mumbai Indians' Travel Strategy
Mumbai Indians flew directly to Ahmedabad from Mullanpur after their Eliminator victory over Gujarat Titans. The entire team, along with support staff and family members, traveled to the Chandigarh airport late Friday night and boarded a chartered flight around 2:30 AM. They arrived in Ahmedabad by 4:30 AM and checked into their hotel by 5:00 AM. There was no official practice on Saturday, although a few non-playing members had a light session in the evening.
Punjab Kings’ Practice Plans
Punjab Kings arrived in Ahmedabad on Friday evening and held a scheduled fielding session at the stadium from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday. However, a brief drizzle prompted the groundsmen to cover the pitch, preventing a full inspection by the players. Weather forecasts indicate clear conditions on match day.
