About MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child
MAMTA-HIMC is a Pan-India NGO based in New Delhi, specializing in health and development since 1990. It works in maternal and child health, nutrition, adolescent reproductive health, and non-communicable diseases.
The current project focuses on improving maternal and child health outcomes in rural Rajasthan through a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).
Responsibilities
- Screening & Assistance: Assist the medical doctor in antenatal and postnatal check-ups, perform routine tests, provide IFA tablets, and address maternal and child health issues.
- Health Education: Conduct counselling sessions and health education using IEC materials.
- Medication & Records: Dispense medicines and maintain accurate patient records (manual and MIS).
- Community Engagement: Encourage community participation during MMU visits.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock registers for equipment, consumables, and medicines.
- Support Operations: Assist with MMU route planning and ensure smooth field operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Experience: 1–3 years in clinical practice, with knowledge of antenatal/postnatal check-ups per government protocols. Experience with NGOs or rural health programs preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Hindi.
- Strong teamwork and community empathy.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
Compensation
Salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and previous compensation history.
