Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bihar, is seeking qualified candidates for various positions at the Children’s Home for Boys in Bettiah, West Champaran. This initiative is part of the Mission Vatsalya project under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India.
Available Positions:
1. Educator
- No. of Post: 01
- Salary: ?10,000/- PM
- Age: Up to 55 years
- Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
- Or Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Desired Competencies:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Sensitivity to children in difficult circumstances.
- Should exhibit child-friendly communication.
- Job Description:
- Work under the supervision of the Superintendent to ensure that all children in the home receive educational inputs.
2. Art & Craft cum Music Teacher
- No. of Post: 01
- Salary: ?10,000/- PM
- Age: Up to 55 years
- Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with Senior Diploma in Art & Craft / Music from a recognized University.
- Desired Competencies:
- Sensitivity to children in difficult circumstances.
- Should exhibit child-friendly communication.
- Job Description:
- Ensure that every child in the home receives specific sessions of music and art & craft activities each week.
3. PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher
- No. of Post: 01
- Salary: ?10,000/- PM
- Age: Up to 55 years
- Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 and Diploma/Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University.
- Sensitivity to children in difficult circumstances.
- Desired Competencies:
- Should exhibit child-friendly communication.
- Job Description:
- The sports/yoga teacher shall be available at fixed hours daily, ensuring each child participates in group activities.
4. Cook
- No. of Post: 01
- Salary: ?9,930/- PM
- Age: Up to 55 years
- Essential Qualification:
- Functional literacy.
- Desired Competencies:
- Sensitivity to children in difficult circumstances.
- Job Description:
- Shall work under the supervision of the Superintendent.
5. Helper cum Night Watchman (Preferably Male)

- Functional literacy.
