Congress MP Rahul Gandhi turned 55 today, and wishes came pouring in from political leaders across party lines, including prominent members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), regional parties, and Congress allies. The Leader of the Opposition in the 17th Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi received greetings from Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, MK Stalin, Kamal Haasan, DK Shivakumar, and many others, reflecting a moment of political goodwill.
Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari extended warm greetings to Rahul Gandhi via X (formerly Twitter).
“Extending my heartfelt birthday wishes to the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh Shri @RahulGandhi ji. May this occasion bring joy and the year ahead be filled with health and prosperity,” he wrote.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wished the Congress MP a long and healthy life.
“Greetings to the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Shri @RahulGandhi on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and a long life,” he posted.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared a heartfelt message, calling Gandhi a "brother-in-ideals."
“Warm birthday wishes to my brother-in-ideals, @RahulGandhi — bound not by blood, but by thought, vision, and purpose. May you continue to stand firm and lead with courage.”
Actor-politician Kamal Haasan praised Gandhi’s qualities of unity and compassion.

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar applauded Rahul Gandhi's ground-level presence and leadership values.
“Your commitment to the people of India, clarity of purpose, and constant presence on the ground embody true leadership.”
Several other senior leaders including Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Shatrughan Sinha, and Naveen Jindal also extended birthday wishes to Rahul Gandhi.
To mark the occasion, the Indian Youth Congress is organizing a mega job fair at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi on June 19. According to the organizers, over 100 companies and MNCs will participate, offering more than 5,000 jobs to job-seeking youth.
This initiative aligns with Rahul Gandhi’s consistent messaging on employment, youth empowerment, and economic development.
Rahul Gandhi, who was recently elected as MP from Rae Bareli, now holds the crucial position of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha for the first time in a decade for the Congress party.
