Heatwave conditions have gripped many parts of India. On Wednesday, states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh recorded maximum temperatures above 43°C in more than 26 locations. Kandla in Gujarat was the hottest place with 45.6°C.

Porbandar: 43.0°C (8.8°C above normal)
In Rajasthan, cities like Pilani (44.9°C), Phalodi (43.8°C), Churu (43.5°C), and Jaipur (43°C) also experienced intense heat.
In Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, sudden heavy rain hit the Tharali region on Wednesday night. Debris from the hills blocked roads and buried several vehicles. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has initiated relief efforts, and local authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
Delhi experienced the hottest night of the season on Tuesday with a minimum temperature of 25.6°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy skies and maximum temperature around 40°C for today. A Yellow Alert has been issued due to the extreme heat.
According to IMD, temperatures may drop slightly from April 11 in Northwest India due to a western disturbance. However, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan could see another round of heatwave conditions on April 14–15.
In Bihar, sudden weather changes brought rain and thunderstorms to several districts. 9 people lost their lives after being struck by lightning in Begusarai, Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Nawada. The current weather in Bihar includes 32°C temperature, 47% humidity, and partly cloudy skies with light winds from the east.
