Job Description:
TEKsystems is hiring for a PostgreSQL Database Administrator with a remote working option. This role involves supporting and managing the database management system and related software, ensuring database performance, and conducting performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the database management system and related software.
- Monitor and manage database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases.
- Perform backup and recovery functions using RMAN.
- Configure, install, and maintain Microsoft SQL servers.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure deliverables are met.
- Maintain data files and monitor systems configuration for data integrity.
- Interact with clients, analysts, and team members to resolve issues.
- Audit data hygiene reports and make necessary updates.
- Create and customize queries, exports, and reports.
- Perform reviews and provide input on design and data flow.
- Manage data products, including producing dashboards for senior management.
- Identify and report application bugs.
- Oversee the work of mid- and junior-level contractor DBAs.
- Work with customers' technical resources to recommend solutions.
- Identify and act on areas for process improvement and automation.
- Plan, coordinate, and recommend security measures to safeguard databases.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Education: BE/BTECH preferred. UG: BCA, B.Ed, B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization.
- Location: Candidates available in Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Pune.
- Availability: Candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days.
